24
Hour Livestock Guarantee regulations and claims
1. The death
must be reported either in person, direct phone
call, voicemail or via email during the guarantee
period.
2.
The dead specimen must be brought into the store
during normal business hours following the death
of the livestock.
3.
A Water sample must accompany the claim within the
same 24 hours, this is very necessary to prove your
water quality is up to standards that would keep
new specimens alive. Water conditions must be as
follows: Ammonia - 0.0 ppm, Nitrites - 0.0 ppm ,
Nitrates 0.0 - 25 ppm, pH - 8.0 - 8.4, specific
gravity - 1.020 - 1.025.
4.
The sales receipt of the purchase must accompany
the claim within the same 24 hours.
5.
Guarantee only applies to the original purchase,
there is never a guarantee on any replacement items.
If the replacement item dies, there is no further
guarantee.
We
cannot stress enough the importance of following
the step-by-step Acclimation Procedure per our acclimation
instructions. In our experience, the majority of
losses occur because of rushed or improper acclimation.
Aquarium
water that has gone bad from limited or no maintenance
or water changes, would still keep your long lived
inhabitants alive. This is because these specimens
lived in the water while the water was changing;
therefore they got acclimated to the change over
a long period of time. New inhabitants, will often
times die over a few days, or a few weeks, since
they were acclimated to this water over just a few
hours and cannot live in improper water conditions
with such a short acclimation period.
